Reading reliability after a quiet deploy
Green pipelines and calm chat channels can hide slow reliability erosion. A short post-deploy reading habit keeps frequency honest.
Not every risky change announces itself with alarms. Some deploys look quiet while latency creeps, support tickets accumulate in a single region, or a dependency starts retrying more often. Application analytics that stop at “deploy succeeded” miss those softer reliability shifts.
We encourage a twenty-minute post-deploy reading: compare the same three reliability signals you used last week, note anything outside the usual band, and write one sentence in the release record. Over a quarter, those sentences explain more than a dashboard screenshot ever will.
